OPENING ACT

While President Steve Schroder called the meeting to order, the Club quickly became rudderless without the talents of Jonathan Turner and our house band, The Kiwanis Steamroller.

Tom Plechaty and Gary Camp were present to finish their project and encouraged people to pick up their cheese orders.

On the Interclub front, John Califf reminded us of the Davenport holiday party and Tom and Jerry Crawl December 20 at the Outing Club.

We also received another reminder from Santa’s able assistant, Rod Jennings, to search through that attic and find a suitable gift for our annual Bad Gift Exchange next Monday.

Michele Youngquist reported that the Coats for Kids project went over tremendously, as always. Several participants gave their testimonies on the good work of the project.

Tom Stontz reported on the Project Santa activity last Wednesday at St. Anthony’s. This activity was also very well received.

President Steve wrapped up this cycle of donations with a presentation to the Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church for their after-school program.

Guests included representatives of the Geneseo Club on an Interstate Interclub outing.

In Fun and Fellowship, Les Bohnert won the preliminary prize and graciously donated it back to the Club. For the grand prize, President Steve, who has not been nearly as lucky as immediate past President Dick Fislar, won the shot at the grand prize and managed to walk away with $10.
