OPENING ACT

President Dick Fislar called the meeting to order.  We attempted to sing without our Director of Music, Jonathan Turner, and managed to, well, make noise.

At the start of the meeting, we only had one Dining Club booklet left to sell, and by the time the meeting was over, it was gone.

Liz gave another pitch for the bowling extravaganza March 11 in Geneseo.  She reminded us that the event starts at 1:30, and not 2:00 p.m. as previously published.  Liz also reminded Club members to pledge for their favorite Club Bowler.  President Dick explained that thrifty Club members might want to pledge for his efforts since, apparently, the last time h had a ball in his hand, it was attached to  a chain.

John Califf made another pitch for the coming interclub noted in the last newsletter.  He also clarified that non Lutherans could also participate in this outing on an experimental basis.

Gene Smith gave another pitch for the Mallards night to be held February 24th.

We were also reminded of important dates coming up, including the NAMI Walk May r, Augie hosting the CCIW men's basketball tournament this weekend, John Bromley's birthday February 24, Rose Day coming up on April 24, and March 3 Read Around America occurring at all three branches of the Rock Island Library.

In Fun and Fellowship, Alicia voluntary contribution.  At least Alicia got a free wash coupon for her efforts.

THE FEATURE ATTRACTION

Chris Carmack gave an excellent program on the new Club website he has created.  He showed an example of the fine work he has done which includes sections on Club history, events, members, officers, and copies of newsletters.  Chris is open to ideas and suggestions.
